New SchoolTipline Helps Students Report Safety Concerns
In support of ongoing efforts to maintain a safe learning environment for students, a new SchoolTipline service has been implemented at Mount
Si High School for students, staff and parents. The purpose of the SchoolTipline is to provide students and parents a safe and anonymous way to report information that could affect student safety. The SchoolTipline offers a web-based and text messaging system – via a link on the school’s website – that empowers students, parents and community members to share at-risk situations without identifying themselves. Of course, students can always share any concerns they might have with school staff.
The SchoolTipline simply offers one more option to help students, staff and parents keep schools safe by reporting their concerns, and it’s completely confidential. The SchoolTipline will be monitored daily during the school year and the process will allow school officials to respond in a proactive manner to solve problems and eliminate unsafe conditions or threats to learning. The online system allows the person reporting a concern to be anonymous, and allows the responder to seek clarification if needed to effectively investigate the situation.
To report an unsafe or at-risk situation, go to: https://mountsi.schooltipline.com.
For time-sensitive emergencies, please call 911. Misuse of the SchoolTipline, such as false reports, will be referred to law enforcement.
